Was just wondering..how we can help students stay awake during boring lectures. Came up with this crazy idea during breakfast =p. We can put vibrators in every one of the lect seats. Then when a student falls aslp, the lecturer can just press a button and the vibrator in that seat would be activated, hence shocking that person awake. Not very practical though lol. Firstly, would cost too much, and secondly, I don't think the lecturer would want to spend time searching for the particular button that corresponds to each seat while he's talking. Wahaha..was just bored lah..rattling nonsense in the morn. Told the pple at the breakfast table this idea..and someone said we should put things that give electric shocks instead of vibrations..lol hilarious..and evil..=p
We've changed to another lecturer for MATH1052, and we don't know what in the world he's talking about. His English is too powderful. Have to decipher the codes he's giving us before we can understand what he's trying to say. But gradually getting the hang of it. Was really struggling in the first lecture. Here're some samples of his codes: derivative = "deri-wa-t" depend on = "depond" find = "found" divide = "de-wide" have to integrate y = "have to integration y" the letter 'v' = "we" And there're loads more. Goodness..and he can add so many vowels into a simple English sentence. Really makes it hard for us to understand him. And as you've probably guessed by now, yes, he's a chinese lecturer. Most prob from China. Sigh..but at least I can sort of understand him now. Hopefully my english doesn't become as powderful as his by the end of the sem...bleah..
