I'm really encouraged by 2 sisters in my caregroup. They're from China, and yes, they're Christians. I just came back from their house (they're housemates), where I heard how Christians are really looked down upon in China. Christians can't have bible studies together. Which means no caregroup. Coz if they do so, they can be arrested and put into jail without any reason except that they were suspected to be having a bible study together. And they also told me that Christians wouldn't have a good time if they have careers in the government agencies. All in all, people in China don't have any benefits being a Christian, except that they're guaranteed to have God in their lives, and have the full assurance that they'll go to Heaven when the die. So it's really encouraging to know that these 2 sisters still decided to follow Jesus when they know that they will be facing persecution when they go back home. I don't know if I'd be this strong and this determined to follow Jesus if Singapore were to have this kinda society. I really thank God for these 2 sisters, and also thank Him for the work He has been doing in China, the revivals that have been occuring even though the government and society doesn't support Christianity. Praise God!!! Thank God that I have the freedom to believe in Him and have church services and gatherings without any fear of being arrested and thrown into jail. Thank You Lord!!!
Hmm as for what happened last night..we went for a time of Evax..which means evangelising. We went to the city for a change. Walked around sharing the gospel with people in Queen St Mall, which is equivalent to Singapore's Orchard Road. Had a really good time sharing with people. There're so many pple out there who still need to know that God loves them. The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the labourers are few. Pray that God will raise more pple up to reap the harvest!! Hmm and also thank God for holding the rain back until after we finished our Evax. It was predicted to have a thunderstorm, and we prayed hard that it wouldn't rain before or during our time of Evax. And praise God!! It really didn't rain. It rained while we were on our way home instead. Haha..luckily we brought umbrellas. But it was a very heavy rain. Our jeans got soaked all the way to our knees! And the steps leading from the main road up to college was like a waterfall! Haha..but we got back safe and sound, and had a wonderful time at Queen St Mall. Praise God!!! ^^
