Thought-provoking..

Read this while I was doing QT this morn:

Someone said: "The people we meet are part of God's purposes for our lives." Are you aware of the fact that your family relationships, your education and the people you have rubbed shoulders with in the past are part of God's purposes in fitting you for the work that He has for you to do?

Thinking about it, I find it true. If God hadn't given me this family, the people I've met so far, and this education overseas, I wouldn't be where I am today. I wouldn't have learnt this much if I had gone through different circumstances. I wouldn't have learnt how to be independent if I hadn't come to Aust to study. And because of studying here, I've come to learn more about life outside the comfort zone I was in back in S'pore. I was so comfortable and secure back in S'pore coz my parents were always taking care of the finances and other stuff for me. You can say that I was sheltered and pampered, right up till I came to Aust. It wasn't till this February that I realised how much I was depending on my parents. Depending on my dad for finances and decision-making, and depending on my mum emotionally. Although I still grumble about studying here, I'm glad God sent me here, coz not only have I matured more (I think..), but I've also grown in the Lord so much more. He's answering my prayers of drawing me closer to Him and using me in mighty ways. =)

I thank God for the people I've met too. All the way from primary school. Each and every one of them have taught me something in my life. Some have been hi-bye friends, and some are still my closest friends. Thank you all for playing important roles in my life. Thanks to Anjalin, Chloe, Esther, Felicia, Nicole, and the now MIA Sudeshna =p for teaching me what real friendship and team spirit is like. I cherish the times we had back in Crez softball. Thanks to Huimin and Joanne for showing me the many aspects of life. Thanks to my twin, Huiyi aka Jamie, who's been a really dear friend to me! Haha..all the times when we did crazy things together..Thanks to Delcine, Rashidah, Yin Tze, Kimberly, Xinwei, Eunice, and all the bowling mates for making my life in JC bearable and fun. =) Thanks to Yy, Desa, Elaina and all the seniors in SRC Pelicans for making my pursuit of playing Softball fun and meaningful..will never forget the fun we had together in NZ..Thanks to coach too! For making cracking us up at every training although you do reprimand us at times too..your jokes are really lame! Haha..you've been my softball coach ever since sec sch, and you'll always be my coach =). Thanks to Dean, Shirley, Vanessa, Boon Teck, Gabriel, Jac, Andrea, Constance, Faith, Kok Hong, Semuel, Gilbert and everyone else from TLBC for walking along with me in my pursuit of God. Thanks to Shin Yee, Shin Wee, Joan, Elysaa, Jace, Christine, Joey, Hui Chee, Veon, Pinky, Huang Ling, Chung, Helen, and everyone else from Judah 5 (too many to name) for being my closest friends here in Brisbane, for seeing me through all the times of loneliness and hopelessness. Thanks to Brena for sharing this journey in Brissie with me right from the start. And I pray we'll finish this journey together as well. Oh and I love it when we go mad about cars and Initial D together! Haha..=) Thank God for all you guys!! Really appreciate you all for impacting my life, and I hope I've impacted yours too! ^^

Wow now thinking about it, if God can bring soooo many amazing people into my life, He must have a really awesome plan for my life. Thank you Lord, for blessing me with this family and all these friends that I love and cherish alot!! Hallelujah!!
