Shin Yee's birthday today!!

Today's Shin Yee's b'day. We gave her a surprise. =) Shin Wee organised it, and the rest of us just played our part in preparing.

First, we had our group shepherding as scheduled. Shin Yee thought we were gonna sabo her..haha..she was afraid we'd pour water on her..like what we did for Joey's b'day..lol..so just to meet her expectations, we brought powder down to Elysaa's room where we had our group shepherding. But we didn't get a chance to sabo her..

Christine brought Shin Yee up to Shin Yee and Shin Wee's room to have a 'talk' after shepherding while the rest of us went to prepare for her big surprise. We decorated the corridors from Shin Yee's room (4th floor) with rose petals and footprints all the way down to the room with the pool and table tennis tables (1st floor). We closed the door that led from the staircase to the recreation room, and stuck a little bunch of flowers and a notice on the door that went like this: "Shin Yee!! Please open the door!!" Haha..We then put the forever friends bear named Sugar (the bear that Shin Yee wanted soooo much), and the chocolate b'day cake (Joey baked it) in the middle of the table tennis table. We then lit tealights all over the room, and dimmed the lights. Then called Shin Yee to ask her to come down.

Everyone was there in the room (almost everyone from our caregroup) waiting with party poppers. We popped them and sang the birthday song to her when she came in through the door. Haha she was really pleasantly surprised. Glad she loved this birthday. It was really worth all the effort and planning, seeing the wide smile on Shin Yee's face. =) Hope this night's celebration was everything that she wanted it to be and more. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHIN YEE!! ^^
